The Academy of Pediatrics has made a careful study of important universal parental concerns, guidelines for health supervision and screening tests for common problems that arise during childhood. A strong emphasis is placed on preventative care and counseling. We follow the Bright Futures recommendations by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

At each Well Child Care visit, your child will receive a complete physical examination as well as age appropriate screening or testing for items such as vision, hearing, anemia, lead, Tuberculosis, cholesterol, urine, etc. In addition, at each visit, we will do age appropriate developmental/behavior testing. These are not intelligence tests, but are useful in helping us gauge your child's relative rate of development as well as any behavior concerns. Finally, anticipatory guidance will be given to help prepare for your ever growing and developing child.

At each visit, vaccinations are given in accordance with the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention .
