COVID-19 VACCINE

Ellicott city Pediatric Associates is currently scheduling Covid-19 vaccine appointments for commercially insured patients.

ECPA is following the advice of The American Academy of Pediatrics regarding the 2025-26 Covid-19 vaccine.

ECPA is recommending the Covid 19 vaccine for all patients 6 months and older.

Ellicott City Pediatric Associates mourns the passing of our beloved colleague, Dr. Edward H. Cahill, III, on September 11, 2026

Dr. Cahill was a part of ECPA almost from the beginning. For over 46 years, he treated innumerable patients, always with compassion, wisdom and respect. He had an innate understanding of what each patient needed to grow and thrive. Dr. Cahill is irreplaceable, but he lives on in our hearts.

If anyone wants to share a handwritten remembrance of Dr. Cahill, we will make sure his family receives it. There will be a basket at the front desk available for you to place any letters, drawings or cards.

We thank you all for your understanding and support as we remember our mentor, colleague, and dear friend, Dr. Cahill.

Once again, Ellicott City Pediatric Associates is offering nurse flu clinic appointments. Please call asap to schedule your appointment.

If possible, please complete, print and sign this Flu Questionnaire prior to your visit for a flu vaccine.

As your Primary Care Physician (PCP), we recommend that you receive your flu vaccine at our office so that all of your questions or concerns can be addressed at the same time. Afterward, your immunization record will be immediately updated and you will have access to our telephone triage nurse for follow up advice.

Ellicott City Pediatric Associates is delighted to announce that as of June 15, 2026 , ECPA will be partnering with Hello Pediatrics , a group of Board-Certified Pediatricians, to provide after-hours care, including telephone advice and an option for after-hours telehealth appointments if desired.

Your child's on-call and telehealth visit notes will be entered into their ECPA medical records, and an ECPA physician will offer follow-up and continuing care.

For urgent but not life-threatening problems, when Ellicott City Pediatric Associates is closed, you can reach Hello Pediatrics by calling our office at 410-465-7550 .

Starting June 15, 2026, on-call phones will be answered by Hello Pediatrics 24/7 when our office is closed.

Joining Trusted Doctors

Ellicott City Pediatric Associates is undergoing a very exciting transition.

Effective April 1, 2025, ECPA will be joining a larger group of pediatricians called Trusted Doctors.

Effective April 1, 2025, ECPA will be joining a larger group of pediatricians called Trusted Doctors.

Trusted Doctors will assist ECPA with billing and human resource management to reduce the burdens of the administrative aspect of our job. This change will in no way affect the care you receive from ECPA. We will have the same providers, same location and staff, and we will continue our same relationship with you and your children.

As we complete our transition to Trusted Doctors, you will notice a change in your billing invoices. The new billing invoices will note Trusted Doctors as the billing entity. Please do not discard or ignore these invoices, as they are coming from Ellicott City Pediatric Associates, just showing a different billing address and entity. You will continue to receive bills from ECPA addressing any dates of service prior to April 1, 2025. Again, please do not discard or ignore these invoices as we will need to complete our billing cycle ourselves up through April 1, 2025.

BEHAVIOR HEALTH AT ECPA

Our behavioral health provider, Kaitlyn Sarcia, has been a great addition to ECPA. Katie is a licensed clinical professional counselor with over 10 years of experience. Katie specializes in working with children and adolescents, as well as college students and young adults.

Katie works with individuals and families experiencing challenges including but not limited to:

anxiety
depression
behavioral issues
school issues
difficult life transitions

Katie believes in the importance of involving family members when appropriate, and maintaining contact with other systems involved with the individual.

Formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Tailors her therapeutic style to the unique needs of the client

After more than 46 years of devoted service, Dr. Edward Cahill is officially retired from ECPA. Please join us in wishing Dr. Cahill the best of luck in this new chapter of his life. He will be greatly missed!

Mask Policy

ECPA has transitioned to a "mask optional" policy for non-illness related visits.

All patients and accompanying family members who wish to continue masking are welcome to do so.
ECPA will continue to provide masks for all who request them.

For those who are visiting ECPA for non-illness related reasons, and are currently symptom-free, masks will no longer be required.

We will continue to require masks for all individuals who have symptoms of illness including but not limited to:

cough
congestion
fever
rash
sore throat
known Covid exposure
