Kaitlyn Sarcia LCPC
ECPA is delighted to welcome our new behavioral health provider, Kaitlyn Sarcia. For over 10 years, Katie has worked with a variety of clients ranging in age from 5 to adult.
Katie specializes in working with children and adolescents, as well as college age students and young adults. She has worked with individuals and families experiencing challenges including but not limited to anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, school issues, and difficulty with life transitions.
Katie believes in the importance of involving family members when appropriate, and maintaining contact with other systems involved with the child. Although formally trained in CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy), Katie is able to tailor her therapeutic style to the unique needs of the client.
Cognitive behavioral therapy works to help the individual isolate unhelpful or negative thoughts or behaviors, challenge them, and overcome them. CBT is useful for those suffering from anxiety and depression, and can be tailored to the age of each client and their needs.
